Family Camp Out

We had a great time on our annual campout this year. It was good to see everyone who came and we certainly missed those of you who couldn't or didn't! Mom, Dad, Steph, Steve and their 4 granddaughters went up on Tuesday, June 19th to save the spot and enjoy the week. Heidi and Marshall came up on Wednesday and so did Jason, Missi, Kaden, and Natalie. Then Marcia and Kylee came up on Thursday. We all went to Riverdale Resort on Thursday for an afternoon of water fun.

As you can see, some of us have fun doing different things! I soaked my arthritic old knees in the hot water pools while Heidi talked to me. Jason and the kids all had fun on the slide and on the diving boards. And you can see what Marcia did!!! Mom and dad stayed at the camp and went scouting around the area. We were water logged by the time we left but everyone had a smile on their faces.

Oh, the time has slipped away from me and I have to go to an appointment. More to come.......

News from the Nicholls

Well we have been busy with summer projects. We dug out our cement at the front of our driveway and cut the curb down so the trailers would be easier to back in. It was quite the experience. We rented a jack hammer and had some fun. Steve and I jack hammered and loaded three and a half tons of cement one Saturday. Luckily Shawn and his friend showed up for the last part of the job because Steven and I were spent! Now its all re-poured and back to normal.

We've been having some fun also. Here is a picture of Natalie and Kaden playing in the water on a baby tending day. This was Kaden's first experience with "running" through the sprinklers! He is a fish at heart!

How was the Campout?

Sorry you all, we had to miss the Maughan Campout this year. Craig was the Rangemaster at the OTML Rendezvous and he had to be there. Next year however, we are changing the week of the Rendezvous by one week earlier, so it won't coincide with the Maughan Campout again! How was it anyhow? Who all came? Who took pics? You need to post some of them on the blog so we can see all the fun we missed. In the mean time at the Rendezvous Casey won a black powder pistol for one of his shooting events and I won this really cool box. I'll have to post some pics as soon as I find the camera...everything is buried still. Now the unpacking begins. We took a couple of extra kids with us, so needless to say, 2 adults and 5 kids in a wall tent going totally primative was quite an experience! It was pretty fun though. Thanks for Nancy's number Marta-I'll have to call her and see what's up. Sounds like your boys will be back soon if all goes as planned and they don't end up with another side trip like on the way there. Hope all goes great for them. Probably be up there sometime next week. We just finished with State Survey at work and we have been swamped.

Well hello every one just to update you on severo and derek and colby they have been hyanco for the past four day's and they have been seeing different things there. they are going to head back to lima today and finish there trip there with his brother's and his aunt and uncle. they well be home on Sunday July 1st at 10:30 p.m. and then severo has to go to work on Monday july 2nd . so you well have to come to are house and see the picture's that they took and look at all the stuff they bought ok. keep in touch. well good bye for now.
