Oh my gosh!!! There was a lot of snow in Yellowstone every day we were there, but it was still an awesome trip, although somewhat white knuckled driving through blizzard conditions in 4 wheel drive. We saw tons of animals and lots of babies too. Just as we crossed Fishing Bridge, a mom bear and two babies came up out of the barrow pit and onto the road right next to the truck. That was really cool, but I was afraid we were gonna get eaten and kept telling everyone to be quiet and roll up the windows...LOL...ya a truly paranoid mom. Because of the snow we were able to watch a pack of wolves split up, scare a heard of elk out of a grove of trees and right down into the other part of the waiting wolves. They took down a baby elk and the mom elk kept coming back over to try to save the baby. We saw tons of bison and elk and a few deer as well as antelope. Craig and I went out on an evening drive without the kids and saw a mother grizzly with two cubs, they were kinda far off the road, but you could see them really well with the binocs. Pretty cool. Because of the snow, we didn't get to go through the Teton Park or Jackson Hole on the way home as the road was closed, but we did take a really nice long scenic route back up to the north east entrance of the park and out the west entrance and home. The ride home from Cody Wyoming took 10 hours with lots of SNOW!!! If anyone hasn't been to Cody Wyoming, you gotta go. It has the most awesome museum and tons of fun things to do and see. We could have stayed there a lot longer. I'll post some pics in the next day or two. I'm just back to work today and have a ton of catching up to do as well as prepare for an inservice tomorrow that I have to present on Behavior Management. Doesn't that sound fun? Anyhow, we were home for one day and packed up the camper and spent another four days at the Lindsay family reunion at Nat-Soo-Pah, an area with camping and mineral pools. Pretty fun, but glad to be home. Craig is off to the Rendezvous tomorrow after being home for two days. The rest of us will have to go up on Friday because of work, school and tests. Then we'll be home another couple of days and pack up again for the Maughan Campout! Whew...I'm exhausted thinking about it all. I am looking forward to it though. See ya all soon.

Greetings from West Valley City

So, just getting ready for a wedding down here in the big city. We hope everyone knows the information, if not, an invite will soon be arriving at your home. We also hope you can attend one or the other of something. Between gas prices and wedding prices Steve is feeling the CRUNCH! We are excited to see all of you at the Maughan Reunion coming up next week, June 24-29. Dad, mom, Heidi, Steve and I went for a drive on the Saturday before Father's Day to check out the campsite we went to last year. It's just like it was then. There were a few light patches of snow from the storm the week before but it should be gone with a few days of sun. We plan to go up on Tuesday and stay until Sunday. Hope to see you all up there! By the way, Lindsay's, how was the trip to Yellowstone? I heard you had some snow! I'm jealous because the time our family went in early June we saw the most animals we have ever seen. I hope you all had a good time. We want to see some pictures real soon and hear about it too. Later, Stephanie
