Thanksgiving
By the way, it was awesome to see you all at Thanksgiving. Mom & Dad were especially pleased to have everyone at their house together. Family is what it is all about!
Congrats to Shawn & Sydney on the purchase of their new home. Now, you know you must have a housewarming party so we can all come check it out! :-)

Thanksgiving at Mom & Dad's
Sounds like everyone is going to mom & dad's for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Yahoo!! It will be good to see everyone and visit, since it seems like forever since we have been in Utah. Mom & Heidi have sort of put together a list of what you could bring to the dinner so mom doesn't have to provide it all. Call mom & she can tell you what. We also thought that if you are going to stay the weekend, if you want to bring your scrapbooking stuff we'd have a get together at Heidi's Friday and/or Saturday. This past weekend I did go to mom & dad's. Heidi, Loni, mom & I tied four quilts for Heidi. They turned out really cute. Hey Steph & Steve...did you get your deer this year? Heard you were up in the hills this past weekend. Congratulations to Amber is moved in with Steph & Steve for school. I could never even say the name of what she is going to school for let alone spell it. Something to do with skin care & of course more. I'm sure as a family we could keep her in pretty good business.

Welcome to Antarctica!
It has been snowing in Burley ALL DAY today, and I swear we have about 10 inches of snow. But lucky me I get to be home and warm, Casey on the other hand is freezing his butt off deer hunting. I was informed that they got two 2 points, but Casey still hasn't got his, the hunt continues tomorrow. My mom's plans to visit grandma & grandpa were foiled due to the snow and not to mention the Interstate was closed. So, we spent the day shoveling snow and shoveling snow and did I mention shoveling snow?? We did also spend some time cutting out levi squares for quilt tops. It's hard to believe that just 3 days ago it was 80 degrees here! Were did autumn go? So here are some pics to show just how deep the snow is.
Ok so maybe its really not that deep...

Natalie!
So to answer your questions Natalie I am still living at home. With the people I dare to call my parents :D ...pics explain everything.... I'm not going to school yet, but this next fall I will be hopefully starting at CSI and working on getting into the nursing program. Right now I am working at Parke View as a CNA. It's a fun job and I like it a lot. The residents at Parke View are very nice, well most of them, and they are so funny sometimes. The other day I had a dementia patient try to answer my hand haha she thought it was a telephone.

I AGREE
I agree..what is new with everyone?! Cassie did you move out? Where are you going to school? I thought you were..That's neat about getting a job! What do you do? I'm guessing something with nursing?
Well everything is great here in Green River. My parents came and visited us this last weekend. My dad hasn't been here yet so that was nice. We had fun touring the town....ha ha not that there is too much to it. I will tell you though its just nice to have family come visit. Grandma, Grandpa, Marcia and her family actually have come also. However, Brent and I are just working. School is great..my kids are so sweet and nice. The community is so great..lots of parent involvement. We are doing well..no complaints here. Hope everyone else is doing awesome!

Fort Bridger
We just got back from the Fort Bridger Rendezvous. It was good to see Natalie, Brent and his family, mom & dad, Marcia, Severo, Colby and Kylee up there. You'll have to have Severo show you the palm leaf hat he bought, he looks pretty cool in it. It was good to see everyone and visit for a while, it seems like forever since we have been to Newton or had a chance to see anyone. We went to the Rendezvous with seven other couples from our blackpowder club. For meals we had each couple fix one meal (breakfast or dinner). That made it so easy. We either got lunch on our own or threw in together with sandwiches and chips. We didn't shoot at all this rendezvous, but did get in on the knife and hawk throwing competitions and primitive archery. The archery is a blast! I even have a big bruise on my arm where I got twanged from the string. I had to use Craig's bow and it has way more pounds of pull than I am used to. One of our club members has a cannon and we went up to watch the cannon shoot as well. They shoot as this big target on the hill several miles away, that is a kick. Anyhow, I also ran into Raylyn and ValJay Rigby and their kids and Troy Jenkins and family. That was weird. I knew the Rigby's came to them, by not Troy. It took Troy a minute to recognize who I was. That day I had my hair in two braids like Indian ladies wear it, because it was so windy. He said the hairdo really threw him off. We did get rained on all Sunday night and Monday and we had to put all of our canvas back up when we got home to dry it all out which was kind of a pain, however, we did not get wet in the tent. Good to know it will hold out some pretty wet weather. But you could see on the inside of the tent you could see, almost like sweat beading up. If we would have touched the walls I am sure it would have ran like a sieve. We also got stuck a couple of times getting out of the Rendezvous, so again it took longer to leave than we planned for. Thanks to good friends and ones we did not know, getting unstuck was relatively simple. All in all an awesome week spent in good company and with good food.

Update from the Mulveys!
Hey everyone! How are you guys! I was so excited to see everyone at my wedding! It's always fun to be together with family! Thanks to everyone for all their help and support! I just wanted to update you a little on whats going on in our neck of the woods. Brent and I went on a cruise. It was awesome! We went on a helmet dive and then to some Mayan Ruins. When we were on the helmet dive Brent got a little motion sick..you kinda sway when you are on the bottom of the ocean..and he ended up throwing up in his helmet. Well he hurried up to get the puck out of his helmet and we were swarmed with fish! ha ha they ate it all up before anyone else even knew. It was funny. He would kill me if he knew I was telling everyone. I just think its a pretty funny story! Well we are mostly settled in our home! I still am going through some of my crap! But I am trying to get my room set up at school at the same time, so things can get crazy! We are enjoying every minute of it though! What is everyone else been up to? I will try and post some pictures soon! Love ya, Natalie

West Yellowstone
We have been on the run this whole month with Vacations, Reunions, and Rendezvous so i am just now sorting out the pic's
These are all in West Yellowstone, We went to the Bear world it was a lot of fun, they have several Bears and Wolf and a Museum we ended up spending a good 3 - 4 hours here
When we came back out to the truck this is what we found. The Local Raven had found our bag of chips in the back of the truck, there where 3 bags tied in a plastic grocery bag, they had pecked holes in 2 of the bags and where having quite a party when we arrived, there must have been about 15 birds on top of and in the back of the truck and the chips where everywhere.

Oh my gosh!!! There was a lot of snow in Yellowstone every day we were there, but it was still an awesome trip, although somewhat white knuckled driving through blizzard conditions in 4 wheel drive. We saw tons of animals and lots of babies too. Just as we crossed Fishing Bridge, a mom bear and two babies came up out of the barrow pit and onto the road right next to the truck. That was really cool, but I was afraid we were gonna get eaten and kept telling everyone to be quiet and roll up the windows...LOL...ya a truly paranoid mom. Because of the snow we were able to watch a pack of wolves split up, scare a heard of elk out of a grove of trees and right down into the other part of the waiting wolves. They took down a baby elk and the mom elk kept coming back over to try to save the baby. We saw tons of bison and elk and a few deer as well as antelope. Craig and I went out on an evening drive without the kids and saw a mother grizzly with two cubs, they were kinda far off the road, but you could see them really well with the binocs. Pretty cool. Because of the snow, we didn't get to go through the Teton Park or Jackson Hole on the way home as the road was closed, but we did take a really nice long scenic route back up to the north east entrance of the park and out the west entrance and home. The ride home from Cody Wyoming took 10 hours with lots of SNOW!!! If anyone hasn't been to Cody Wyoming, you gotta go. It has the most awesome museum and tons of fun things to do and see. We could have stayed there a lot longer. I'll post some pics in the next day or two. I'm just back to work today and have a ton of catching up to do as well as prepare for an inservice tomorrow that I have to present on Behavior Management. Doesn't that sound fun? Anyhow, we were home for one day and packed up the camper and spent another four days at the Lindsay family reunion at Nat-Soo-Pah, an area with camping and mineral pools. Pretty fun, but glad to be home. Craig is off to the Rendezvous tomorrow after being home for two days. The rest of us will have to go up on Friday because of work, school and tests. Then we'll be home another couple of days and pack up again for the Maughan Campout! Whew...I'm exhausted thinking about it all. I am looking forward to it though. See ya all soon.

Greetings from West Valley City
So, just getting ready for a wedding down here in the big city. We hope everyone knows the information, if not, an invite will soon be arriving at your home. We also hope you can attend one or the other of something. Between gas prices and wedding prices Steve is feeling the CRUNCH! We are excited to see all of you at the Maughan Reunion coming up next week, June 24-29. Dad, mom, Heidi, Steve and I went for a drive on the Saturday before Father's Day to check out the campsite we went to last year. It's just like it was then. There were a few light patches of snow from the storm the week before but it should be gone with a few days of sun. We plan to go up on Tuesday and stay until Sunday. Hope to see you all up there! By the way, Lindsay's, how was the trip to Yellowstone? I heard you had some snow! I'm jealous because the time our family went in early June we saw the most animals we have ever seen. I hope you all had a good time. We want to see some pictures real soon and hear about it too. Later, Stephanie

So Dang Cute!!!
I so love your pictures! They turned out so good and by the way I love the bike. I don't know how you didn't get everything all tangled up in it. I think my favorite picture is the one were both of you have your shoes off sitting on the bridge. The two of you make such a cute couple. You really mustn't keep your honey away from us Natalie...we really are nice. At least some of the time. Looking forward to meeting him some day, hopefully soon! He is a cutey. I mean that in the most auntish sort of way. Cassie is so excited to be done with school. Today was their last official day of classes. Tomorrow they are all off to Lagoon, then just graduation practice and SHE IS OUTTA THERE!!!

Hello!
Well hello. So I thought I would post just a couple of pictures from our bridal shoot. It was so much stinking fun! Well to answer your question Kerri. Our reception is in Sandy. Its at a place called Silvercrest Recepetion Center. Everything is pretty much planned(so I hope ha ha) except our invitations. We are in the process of getting them made. Then I'm not too excited for labeling the addresses. Good thing my Mom loves me ha ha. It's been pretty fun to plan everything. Sometimes stressful trying to find time, but things have went fairly smooth. Are you guys excited for Cassie to graduate? What else is new?
Thursday, May 8, 2008
I think you are better off sticking with fish for the short time until you are a better "parent" to them. ha ha! So, have you got your wedding dress all picked out? Where is your reception gonna be? I think you told me once, but as you know I am getting old and senile. It all sounds like a lotta work, but fun too. You still haven't told us all about Brent. So this is a great place to start. Come on now don't be shy.
BTW, are you all coming up to Grandma & Grandpa Maughan's house Sunday? We are going to be there at least a little while.
Well, gotta run as it is late and still lots of stuff to do before beddy-bye. Talk to ya soon.

Twice in one week!
Hello! I know it is pretty dead out there huh! Thanks for the compliments! How are you guys doing? We are doing fine here. Everyone is just going on with the normal everyday tasks. My mom and I have been busy off and on planning this wedding. She has to leave right after school all the time so we can make to stores before they close. Its been fun for us to get to spend time together! Just think two more months and I'll be married. Now thats weird ha ha. I decided Brent and I can't have kids for a while...we have killed five fish already ha ha. We have come to the conclusion its the stores fault not ours ha ha. It makes us feel better! Well we hope everyone is doing well. Hope to hear from you guys soon! We hope to hear from all the people who don't write on here to. Love ya!
Oh my gosh, there is life out there! Craig & I are not just talking to ourselves after all...LOL :-)

Hey everybody this is Cassie! Just thought I would share with you my Prom pictures. We didn't get to go on a day date though because I had a bowling tournament all day in Pokey. I did win a trophy though! I didn't even get to try on my dress till Friday night at like 12AM because I was in Boise at HOSA all week. So my mom had to alter it without me here....she tried to make my dad be the stand in model for the alterations...but thank goodness he said no because I don't think I would have a dress lol. We didn't get to vist grandma till pretty much midnight and she had already taken an Ambien and she was pretty loopy I must say. We took pictures by the tree and Grandma came out and took pictures with us...in her nightgown btw.....and it was cold! And she thought it was nice out! Thank goodness I have a Grandma that loves me and has a great sense of humor! LOVE YOU GRANDMA!!! ♥ For those of you who have myspace I have more pics of prom on there so you can look at them all
LOVE YA, ♥CASSIE♥DAWN♥

I am so jealous Steph and Steve!!! Wish I coulda been there to enjoy the fun and sun with you on your cruise. Need to see some pics though so at least we can drool over what a great time you had. We've got our calendars marked for the big wedding day.
So far of all who have taken the quiz, Susie has the most right with 7. I thought it was kind of a fun idea. Our kids failed it miserably. They've still got a lot to learn about good old mom & dad.

WhoooHooo!!!!! I am so excited for you. Now you've got to tell us a little more about officially "your" man. Since we live about a million miles away we aren't privy to all of the details. How very romantic to propose in front of your class. Your kids were probably loving it. Pretty dang cool. Have you set a date or an approximate date yet??? You know the aunts will have to give you a shower of some sort...maybe like a lingerie party of something!!! You never know, might come in handier than stuff like a grocery, kitchen or general wedding shower would be. :-) Anyhow, Congratulations to the both of you!

Natalie...here I thought that Craig and I were talking to ourselves on here. Good to hear just a hi from you. It gives me faith in the Maughan clan again...even though we are Lindsay and Nicholls. You need to get your mom and dad on here to give us all the best inside info on Yellowstone. Our kids are really excited to go. It's been almost 14 years since our kids have been there. We were checking out the sights on the internet in the Cody, Wyoming area and there is a place there called Cassie's...it was a house of ill repute when it was first started. I thought it would be fun to go there and check some stuff out. Anyhow, keep us updated on the latest. I'll have to have Craig post some pictures of our puppies. They are now 6 weeks old and little holy terrors! Not really, they are just at the cute cuddly, playful stage.
